The body of a Gekko Hokouensis (Qianshan Bihu) is usually 6cm long; the full length can be nearly 13cm. The back of the body is mainly brown- or dark-brown, with dark-brown and light-brown spots lining the back from the neck to the tail, a distinctive feature.
These geckos mainly come out at night in suburban houses or woods. They have a very fragile tail, and feed on insects and small invertebrates.
Gekko Hokouensis are oviparous animals, lay two closely connected eggs, and prefer to lay eggs together as groups. There are a lot of white eggs inside the pavilion on the Guanyinshan. Lift up your head for a look.
