月橘 Common Jasmine Orange (Yueju)
月橘的花能提煉芳香油，花及熟果可食用，曬乾後的花可泡茶飲用，其花因濃郁且獨特的香味，能飄散往遠處，故而有七里香之稱。月橘的葉對著陽光照，可以看到葉子顯現小小的圈圈，就是油滴，是用來儲存能量，將葉子搓揉有類似柑橘的味道；木材堅硬可作手杖、印章、農具及小刀柄...等，亦常人工栽培作綠籬之用。
The Common Jasmine Orange (Yueju) is originally from southern Asia; they can be found from India and Malaysia to the Philippines and even Australia. As long as the drainage is good, and sunlight is sufficient, they flourish.
The flowers can be used to produce aromatic oil; both the flowers and mature fruit are edible. The sun-dried flowers make excellent tea, and because the rich and unique fragrance can be smelled from a long distance, the flowers are also called "Seven-Mile Fragrance" (Qilixiang). If one holds a leaf and looks through it at the sun, one can see small circles on the leaf. These are oil droplets used to store energy; rub the leaves and the orange-like smell comes out. The tree's wood is hard enough to make walking sticks, seals, agricultural utensils, knife handles, etc. The tree also cultivated for hedgerows.
